Le Duplex is a spacious penthouse chalet/apartment alongside the pistes in La Chapelle. The owners have combined the original features of a large 70’s penthouse apartment with a retro, contemporary interior, furniture & fittings. The overall feel of the place is stylish yet fun.

The exceptional social area has an immense floor space but with sloping ceilings and a massive open fire it still has a homely and cosy atmosphere.

OUR BEDROOMS
Our ‘P-Star’ room has a deluxe 70's double bed and decoration, mirrored wardrobes and plenty of storage.
The room has a Lava lamp (of course!) a hairdryer and a kettle with a range of tea and coffee for you.
One wall is floor to ceiling glazed doors with the most amazing view to wake up to - the rocky peaks of the ‘Mont de Grange ‘and the local ‘Cret Beni’ ski slopes. The glass doors slide open onto the large balcony.
The luxurious en-suite bathroom has twin basins, a very large bath and a separate shower.
We provide towels, bathrobes and bath products for you.
If you dare, you can enjoy a deep hot bubble bath whilst gazing at the view through another set of floor to ceiling glass doors.

Our ‘Chalet’ room is a modern fully equipped room, with a double bed, space for an additional single bed, a built in wardrobe and plenty of cupboard space. The room has sloping wooden ceilings framing a large triangular window, overlooking the stunning chapel of ‘La Chapelle’ and allowing views up the ‘Abondance Valley’ all the way to ‘Chatel’ and the pistes of ‘Super-Chatel’.
The en-suite bathroom has a large basin, a good sized bath with a shower and a separate toilet. There is a hairdryer and kettle with a range of tea and coffee.

Our ‘Board’ Room is a very large room and has a varied selection of beds to suit your accommodation needs, plenty of storage and a shared wardrobe, a hairdryer and tea and coffee.
The end wall is floor to ceiling glazed doors with again, the most amazing view to wake up to - the rocky peaks of the ‘Mont de Grange. These glass doors give access out onto a long upper balcony.
The ensuite bathroom is generously sized with a toilet, large bath and shower. There are 8 individual storage drawers.
The Board room comes off of a large open space - the mezzanine level. Here there is a sofa and dining table and plenty of space overlooking the main lounge and dining room, and access onto the upper balcony.

With the Board room you are welcome to use the Flower room
Off of the mezzanine level is the Flower room, with a single and double bed. This room does not have an en-suite bathroom, so anyone staying here would need to use the bathroom in the Board room. There is however a separate toilet and basin near to the main lounge for anyone to use.

Breakfast
Prices advertised here include our full breakfast buffet, consisting of fruit juices, teas; coffee; freshly baked croissants; local bread and preserves; cereals, fruit, yogurts, ham, eggs and cheese.

Evening Meals
Our semi-catered option includes a 3 course evening meal (with a champagne aperitif and wine during the meal) 4 nights a week.
The meals are starters and main courses of hearty homecooked food and tasty desserts. Last year we served dishes such as: Beef Bourguignonne with Creamy Mash; Salted Thyme Chicken with Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Steamed Green Veg; Cheese Fondue and Meat Pierrade; Homemade Baileys Chocolate Mouse and Tarte au Citron and Sorbets with a Splash of Vodka.

We feel that providing a semi catered option allows guests to relax and enjoy the comfort of home, without missing out on the delicious food served in our local restaurants on the other nights.

For large group bookings there is a fully equipped kitchen available for evening use on the days we are not catering. We also offer accommodation on a self catered basis for large groups.

Location:

Only 1 1/2 hours drive away from Geneva, you can be skiing in no time.
Le Duplex is situated only a few minutes walk from both the centre of the village and the local ski slopes of the 'Cret Beni'. This ski area has 8 lifts serving over 10 pistes. The ‘Piou Piou’ club and ESF ski school are located at the bottom of the slopes. There are two slope side restaurants but if you preferred to lunch at home, it is only a 5 minute walk back to 'le Duplex'.

La Chapelle's telecabine takes you up to ski-lifts linking you to the Portes du Soleil through Torgon and Morgins in Switzerland, and Super-Chatel.

The free Ski bus (stopping just outside the apartment) takes you up into Chatel and along to the Pre La Joux ski area, with quick links to Avoriaz and Morzine.

Services:

• A variety of ski-passes are available for the different areas within the Portes du Soleil. We can advise you on your options and pick up your ski passes for you in advance.

• We have a discounted rate at our local ski hire shop, just across the road, and we also have our own boards to hire at a discounted rate.

• We can provide you with all the information you need for ski lessons and pre-book any lessons you might want, saving you valuable time from the ESF office on the first day of your holiday.

• We are ideal for families with cots, fun blow up beds, highchairs & booster seats, and car seats. We can help with booking childcare arrangements and also offer babysitting nights.

• There is ample car parking spaces in an external car park, which is regularly snow cleared, plus we have the double garage for your use.
